37% of people in India live below the poverty line

The Arjun Sengupta Report, based on data between the period 1993-94 and 2004–05, states that 77% of Indians (955 million) live on less than Rs. 20 a day (about $0.50 per day). The N.C. Saxena Committee report states, on account of calorific intake apart from nominal income, that 50% of Indians live below the poverty line. A study by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative using a Multi-dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) found that there were 657 million people (53.7% of population) living in poverty in India.

Keep Striking

Categories: Prayer

Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the king took them. Elisha told him, “Strike the ground.” He struck it three times and stopped. The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. 2 Kings 13:18,19.

A lot of times we have asked God to help us in a particular situation may it be good or bad. We have prayed to Him and we may have even fasted to see a breakthrough happen in our lives.

But the sad part is sometimes we give up after praying for a while. Elisha told the above mentioned words to king Jehoash because he gave up after striking the arrows 3 times. In the same way, Moses was so close to get into the promised land. He saw it with his eyes but he could not go into it. It doesn’t matter if it takes some time for our answers to come through. Continue striking your arrows of faith and prayer. If you have prayed for something for a few months now, just keep praying. Your breakthrough is very near. God is going to open doors that no man can shut.
